Dupe Culture
Project type

The rise of fast fashion and knockoff culture has made it harder than ever to distinguish between high-end designs and their cheaper, mass-produced counterparts. My project began as Dupe or Real, an interactive guessing game where users tested their ability to spot authentic designer pieces versus dupes. However, through user testing, I discovered that players were not only intrigued by the challenge but also wanted to learn more about the deeper implications of dupe culture.
This insight led to the evolution of my project into an informational blog, designed to educate users on the ethical, environmental, and economic downsides of dupes. By leveraging user feedback and testing results, I developed a blog prototype that provides valuable context behind the game, empowering consumers to make more informed fashion choices.
